Newborn Session Client Guide

In order to ensure that your newborn session runs as quickly and as smoothly as possible, please follow these steps:

1. Nursing mamas, try not to eat anything spicy the day before your session. Spicy foods can upset baby’s tummy and make them uncomfortable.

2. Wash your baby’s hair the night before or the morning of your session. This helps their hair not to stick down flat.

 3. Helping your baby to sleep for their session has a lot to do with their feeding. A full, satified baby will sleep and pose easier than a hungry baby. Your baby might want to eat more during their session. Getting moved around burns calories! If you bottle feed, it’s best to bring a little extra, just in case!

Gas drops are also helpful!

4. A sleeper is the best thing for your baby to wear to their session! If your baby is asleep, it’s easier to take a sleeper off without disturbing them very much.

5. Please bring your baby’s pacifier if they take one.

6. If your package includes family photos: nuetral tones are timless and classic.

During the session, sit back and relax. I won’t need much assistance, so take advantage of this time to rest (I’m sure you need it!) The studio is kept warm during newborn sessions. Dress in layers for your own comfort.
